Clean H2O

Some 3.9 million of those without access to safe drinking water in Cambodia are poor and live in rural areas. Without safe water and adequate sanitation and hygiene, children (41 per cent of the population) are especially vulnerable to water-borne diseases. This costs lives and money. Diarrhea is second leading cause of death for children under the age of five in Cambodia, while vitamin and mineral deficiencies due to diarrhea results in an annual loss of US$146 million to Cambodia’s GDP.

AIESEC aims to create and deliver a community development project addressing about Water Sanitation in Cambodia - also how they could get proper access to it as well. The project will consist of training workshop organize and innovation activities in chosen communities.

The project will have three components: Water Sanitation Workshop, Healthcare Day and Community Visit on the topic in the community. The project will happen in 8 different communities such as Takeo, Prek Leap, Korki, Kampong Chnang, Kampong Cham, Steung Meanchey, Kampong Speu and Kandal.
